HOW SHARK REPORTS A FAULT
Shark robots report faults two ways. App-connected models (IQ, AI, AI Ultra, Matrix, PowerDetect) show a numbered error in the SharkClean app, and SharkNinja publishes a code list per series; the numbers in our set run from 2 to 46, with Error 23 (cannot return to base) and Error 21 (Wi-Fi) the most looked up. The robot itself, and the older ION models, signal with light patterns: the owner's guides carry a chart of CLEAN-button and dock-light combinations, and a red flashing battery icon means the battery is critically low.
The same number can mean something slightly different between the IQ generation and the RV2900 generation, so our code pages split causes by series where the official lists diverge. SharkNinja has not published an article for every code its robots can show; where that is the case we leave the code out rather than guess.
Symptom pages cover the no-number cases: not charging, not returning to the dock, Wi-Fi setup, and the self-empty base not emptying. Wi-Fi is the biggest of them by far, so it sits first in the list below.
