HOW TO FIX IT
Power off the robot before opening the battery door, handle the pack by its pull tabs, and never use a battery that is swollen, hot or leaking.
Power off the robot
Remove the robot from the charging base and hold POWER for 3 seconds.
Open the battery door
Turn the robot over and remove the battery door screws with a Phillips screwdriver.
Disconnect, wait, reconnect
Lift the battery by its pull tabs, unplug the white connector, wait about a minute, then push the connector back in until it clicks securely.
Close up and test
Seat the battery, refit the door and screws, dock the robot to power it on, and start a clean. A repeating Error 8 means the pack needs replacing.
