ECOVACS Error 10010 — Robot can't join the Wi-Fi

Severity: Info — the robot cleans normally from its buttons — it just stays invisible to the app ECOVACS HOMEDEEBOT Wi-Fi setup
Last verified: 2026-07-07 Tools: phone with the ECOVACS HOME app, router access Time: ~20 min Difficulty: easy

DIRECT ANSWER

Errors 10010, 10018 and 10025 all mean DEEBOT couldn't join your home Wi-Fi. ECOVACS' fixes: set up within 3 meters of the router, use a 2.4 GHz network, re-check the password, and put the robot in setup mode.

COMMON CAUSES · RANKED

1

Robot out of Wi-Fi range during setup MOST COMMON

ECOVACS' first instruction is to keep the robot in good coverage — within about 3 meters of the router while pairing.

2

5 GHz-only network

Most DEEBOTs join 2.4 GHz 802.11 b/g/n networks only — a 5 GHz-only SSID or aggressive band steering leaves the robot with nothing to join.

3

Wrong or unsupported Wi-Fi password

One mistyped character fails the join, and ECOVACS says to use English letters and numbers in the password — exotic symbols break it.

4

Robot not in setup mode

The Wi-Fi indicator must blink slowly after pressing RESET before the app can hand over credentials.

5

Router features the robot can't handle UNCOMMON

ECOVACS documents that hidden SSIDs, web-login portals, VPN and proxy setups are unsupported — disable them for the join.

HOW TO FIX IT

No battery or electrical work involved in this fix.

Move the robot next to the router

Set up with robot, phone and router in the same room, within about 3 meters.

Put DEEBOT in setup mode

Power on and press the RESET button (about 3 seconds on most models) until the tune plays and the Wi-Fi light blinks slowly.

Pick the 2.4 GHz network

Select the 2.4 GHz SSID in the app; on dual-band routers, enable "dual band in one"/band steering or split out a 2.4 GHz name.

Retype the password carefully

Enter it fresh — visible, no autofill — using only English letters and numbers.

Simplify the router for the join

Temporarily un-hide the SSID and disable VPN/proxy or web login; once the robot is online those can usually return.
