ECOVACS Error 10503 — Wi-Fi password never reached the robot
DIRECT ANSWER
COMMON CAUSES · RANKED
Phone dropped the robot's network too early MOST COMMON
ECOVACS' official instruction is to keep the phone on "ECOVACS_xxxx" until setup progress reaches 50% — leaving earlier cuts the password handover.
Samsung auto-switch features
ECOVACS names "Switch to mobile data" (S8/S9/S10/A8/A10 era) and "Auto network switch" — both yank the phone to 3G/4G because the robot's hotspot has no internet.
Cellular data left on
With data on, any phone may prefer a working 4G/5G route over the internet-less robot hotspot mid-transfer.
HOW TO FIX IT
Turn cellular data off
Disable mobile data entirely for the duration of the setup.
Disable auto network switching
On Samsung, turn off "Switch to mobile data" / "Auto network switch" in Settings → Connections → Wi-Fi before pairing.
Stay on ECOVACS_xxxx past 50%
Join the robot's network when prompted and don't touch the phone's Wi-Fi until the app's progress bar is beyond half.
Retry and escalate
Run setup again from the start; if 10503 repeats on a non-Samsung phone, try a second phone before contacting ECOVACS support.
