Charging error 1 means the robot can't detect its battery. On a new robot the yellow pull tab is usually still in place; otherwise the pack is loose or its contacts are dirty. Reseat the battery.

HOW TO FIX IT

Power off and remove the battery before touching its contacts; keep metal tools away from the terminals.

Flip the robot and open the battery door or cover.

Pull the yellow tab if present

New robots won't charge until the insulating tab is fully removed.

Reseat the battery firmly

Remove the pack, check the terminals for dust, and press it back in until it sits flush.

Charge and verify

Dock the robot and confirm the charging indicator. A pack still undetected needs replacement.
