eufy Error 2 — Wheel stuck

Severity: Warning — robot stops driving until both wheels turn freely again G30/G40L70X8LR/L35
Last verified: 2026-07-06 Tools: scissors for wrapped hair Time: ~10 min Difficulty: easy

DIRECT ANSWER

Error 2 means a drive wheel is stuck. The official fix is to check both wheels, remove anything caught in or around them, and move the robot to a new position before restarting.

COMMON CAUSES · RANKED

1

Hair or string wound around the wheel MOST COMMON

Fibres work into the wheel hub and tighten with every rotation until the motor can no longer turn it.

2

Robot caught on an obstacle or cable

A charging cable or rug fringe wrapped around a wheel stalls it mid-clean — eufy's fix pairs cleaning with relocating the robot.

3

Debris inside the wheel housing

Grit hidden in the housing blocks the wheel even after the visible tread looks clean.

4

Wheel module wearing out RARE

A wheel that stalls with nothing wrapped around it points at the module itself — the S2 error is its dedicated hardware flag.

HOW TO FIX IT

No battery or electrical work involved in this fix.

Power off and flip the robot

Switch the robot off and turn it over on a soft surface.

Clear both drive wheels

Pull off wrapped hair and debris, cutting stubborn strands with scissors, and clear the gap between wheel and housing.

Spin-test each wheel

Rotate each wheel by hand and press it in so it springs back — both must move freely in each direction.

Restart from a new position

Set the robot down somewhere open and restart the clean. If Error 2 repeats with clean wheels, see Error S2 and contact eufy support.
