Dreame robot not charging
DIRECT ANSWER
COMMON CAUSES · RANKED
Base station not actually powered MOST COMMON
Dreame's first official check is the power cord at both ends — and on Ultra stations also the power switch on the back of the base, which ships in the off position more often than you'd think.
Dirty charging contacts or stuck pins
Dust and mop moisture oxidize the strips; the official docking article also has you check that the spring-loaded metal pins still bounce back instead of sitting compressed.
Battery worn out — a service case UNCOMMON
A robot that charges full but dies in minutes has a worn pack. Dreame sells no replacement batteries and its manuals forbid disassembling them — after-sales service is the official route.
Battery outside its temperature range UNCOMMON
The official FAQ sets operation at 0-40 °C — a robot parked by a radiator or in a cold garage charges slowly or not at all until it returns to range.
Foreign object on the robot's connector RARE
The L10s Ultra manual adds one more check — debris caught on the robot's own charging connector breaks the circuit even against clean dock pins.
HOW TO FIX IT
Unplug the base station before wiping its charging contacts, never bridge the two contacts with anything metallic, and leave a worn battery to Dreame's service — the official manuals forbid opening the battery or the dock yourself.
Power-check the base station
Reseat the power cord at the outlet and at the station, flip the power switch on the back of Ultra bases to on, and try another outlet if the station shows no life.
Clean both sets of contacts
With the station unplugged, wipe the robot's contacts and the dock pins with a dry cloth until the metal is bright, and confirm each spring pin bounces back freely.
Clear the robot's connector
Check the charging connector on the robot itself and remove any debris caught there, as the official manual instructs.
Dock by hand and listen
Restart the robot, place it on the dock, and listen for the "start charging" voice prompt. A low battery takes about 6 hours to fill, and charging slows outside 0-40 °C by design.
Escalate a worn battery
If a full charge still collapses in minutes, contact Dreame after-sales with your SN code — the battery is not user-replaceable, and the manuals warn against opening it.
