Roborock Error 7 — Wheels jammed
DIRECT ANSWER
COMMON CAUSES · RANKED
Hair or string around the axle MOST COMMON
Fibres work their way into the wheel hub and tighten with every rotation.
Object wedged in the wheel well
Small toys, socks and carpet fringe jam between tyre and housing.
Worn wheel module RARE
If a wheel grinds or wobbles with nothing stuck in it, the motor gearbox in the wheel module is wearing out.
HOW TO FIX IT
Spin both wheels by hand
Flip the robot over. Press each main wheel and spin it — official advice straight from Roborock. Both should turn with steady resistance.
Remove whatever is stuck
Pull hair off the axles and pry out anything wedged in the wheel wells.
Check the caster wheel too
The small front caster collects hair as well. Pop it out and clean the bearing.
Restart in a new spot
Move the robot somewhere open and start again. A wheel that still grinds needs a replacement wheel module.
