Roborock Error 2 — Bumper stuck
DIRECT ANSWER
COMMON CAUSES · RANKED
Debris jammed in the bumper gap MOST COMMON
Gravel, pet food or a toy piece slips into the slot behind the bumper and holds it pressed.
Robot pinned against an obstacle
The robot drove tight under a kick plate or against a soft object that keeps the bumper compressed.
Bumper switch failure RARE
After a hard impact the microswitch behind the bumper can stay closed. If tapping never clears it, the switch needs service.
HOW TO FIX IT
Tap the bumper repeatedly
Light, quick taps along the whole front edge usually shake loose whatever is jammed.
Check the gap
Press the bumper in and let go a few times. It should click back out instantly on both sides.
Move the robot and restart
If nothing falls out, carry the robot to a new spot and press the clean button again.
